The young Migili man and prospective NYSC member hails from the Gude Community in the Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
David was reportedly traveling from Jos to Bauchi on his way to Maiduguri, Borno State, where he had been posted for his National Youth Service.
Sources report that a group of corps members planned to spend the night in Bauchi before heading to the orientation camp the following day when the incident occurred.
His family, friends, and the entire Migili nation are greatly distressed by the news and are calling on security agencies and the general public to take swift action toward his release.

The increasing rate of kidnappings for ransom, especially as the nation approaches an election year, is alarming.
While Nigerians continue to pray for an improvement in the situation, the government and security agencies need to restore law and order, ensure peace, and reunite captives like David and the Ngoshe 416 held by Boko Haram with their families.
