West Virginia Congressman Riley Moore has disclosed that the unabated killings across Nigeria’s Middle Belt region are orchestrated by Fulani militia who receive payment from Chinese companies in exchange for illegal mining of “rare earth minerals.”
Speaking in a recent interview with Fox News Channel, Moore who submitted a detailed report of alleged Christina genocide to President Trump a few days ago disclosed that, “One of the things I think people would find extremely shocking from this report is that the Fulani militants, these Islamic militants, we have been talking about, are getting paid by the Chinese, who are operating illegal mining operations in Nigeria.”

He explained that “The Chinese go in. They don’t have a permit to mine, and they will bribe people in that state to be able to mine, and then the protection money is then paid to the Fulani militants, who then use that money to go murder and murder Christians within Nigeria.”
The Congressman maintained that “We presented our report to the White House and obviously, we talked about that previously and this was pursuant to President Trump asking me and many other members of Congress, Republicans, to go to Nigeria to investigate, understand what is happening, particularly in the middle belt region of Nigeria, which we have talked about a lot.”
He insisted that “there is a lot to unravel here but thank God President has accepted this report, he is working so hard to bring the different sides together – the US and Nigeria but also our other coalition that we have going on that we do have a plan and we are moving forward on this. We do fell like we are taking good steps.
Moore maintained that the Chinese “are mining rare earth minerals in Nigeria, illegally,” adding that “This is where a lot of this killing is going on” in reference to the middle belt.
According to Fox News, while 7,500 Christians were killed in 2025 in Nigeria, 620 were massacred in 2026; meanwhile, 1,090 were abducted this year as against the 8,500 who were kidnapped last year.

He expressed appreciation to Fox News “for staying focused on this topic that many unfortunately many are ignoring.”
While the Nigerian Christian genocide US-report is being considered by the White House, the US recently sent a detachment of 200 troops to bolster support through training and military intelligence to fight Islamist militants in the West African nation.
