21-Year-Old U.S. Marine of Nigerian Descent Dies after Falling off Ship
The death has occurred of Lance Cpl. Chukwuemeka E. Oforah, 21, a Marine of Nigerian descent following a fall overboard from the USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) in the Caribbean Sea on 7 February 2026.
