Following the recent dedication and official blessing of the newly renovated offices of the Bishop and Vicar Administration of Jalingo Diocese at the Mile Six Secretariat by Most Rev. Charles Hammawa, a key figure in the Diocese has lauded the efforts of the prelate, describing it as a laudable initiative.
The Catholic Diocese of Jalingo, Taraba State, North-Eastern Nigeria, has called for the Church and State to develop what it described as “new mechanisms” ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Mamza Dami, firmly rejects the recent Electoral Bill, insisting, “I will not vote if the transmission is not going to be done directly from the polling unit and in real time – I will not waste my time to go and vote. I will not! I will also discourage people from going to vote.”
