The Anglican Archbishop Emeritus of Jos Province, Most Reverend Benjamin Argak Kwashi has been appointed and enthroned as the Archbishop of Chad under the Province of Alexandria, North Africa.
Archbishop Kwashi’s commissioning and installation came after a retreat in Douala, Cameroon, and the official presentation and installation in a solemn service which held at the Bishop’s chapel.

The 70-year-old fireless prelate who served as Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Jos and the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Jos retired in 2023.
He hails from Amper, Kanke Local Government of Plateau State and once served as the General Secretary of the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFON).
In a congratulatory message, Jay101.9FM noted that “This remarkable elevation is a testament to a lifetime of faithful service, godly leadership, unwavering commitment to the Gospel, and a passion for advancing the mission of Christ across nations.”

Describing this development as historic, the broadcasting station prayed for the servant of God to fulfil God’s mandate for the betterment of mankind.
