In a recent interview, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, a Plateau-born advocate for persecuted Christians in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, revealed how Boko Haram insurgents attack Christian villages, burn churches, commit mass murders, and rape women.
Speaking in an interview with a prominent Nigerian media entrepreneur and television host, Chude Jideonwo, Rev. Dachomo disclosed that “When Boko Haram arose in the far north, they followed communities that are densely populated by Christians in Maiduguri and in Borno State, they followed village by village. If you see a Christian in the far north, in the rural area, or in the local government, then he is a slave.”
He recalled this incident in a village where women who escaped hid in Church but when “Boko Haram arrived on Sunday, they surrounded the Church. [They] locked the Church, [and] set the Church ablaze, they burnt everybody that was inside the Church.”

The vocal cleric narrated how “in another village,” the insurgents “separated the men and the women; after they departed them and the children, the men were paraded and killed.”
The Pastor of Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Barkin Ladi, alleged that the terrorists “chose the women that they wanted to have sex with” and violated them.
“A woman said she alone buried her husband. She dug the grave personally and dragged her husband, who was killed by Boko Haram, into it.”

How long are we going to continue like this? This is so disheartening.
We pray that the civil authorities develop a strong political will to fix the security architecture of the country. Thank you for your feedback!
