The Executive Director of Equipping the Persecuted Church and Truth Nigeria, Judd Saul, has raised a “Terror alert for Taraba and Southern Kaduna,” stressing that the security situation in these regions constitutes “critical terror threats.”
In a statement dated 19 March 2026, the American activist drew attention to the precarious conditions in Taraba’s Chenchenji-Yelwa axis.
Alert for Chenchenji-Yelwa, Taraba
The defender of Christians facing persecution in the middle region of the country maintained that there is an “imminent coordinated attack expected around March 23” in Taraba.
Saul claimed that the main targets are mostly “Civilians and local defense groups – FEM Takum Unit mobilizing fighters and staging positions.
The missionary highlighted key indicators, such as “Armed movement across the Donga River toward Chenchenji” as well as “fighters embedded via cattle herds.”

The statement pointed to the presence of “Drone-confirmed machine gun presence” and “Recent attack (Tor-Damisa) [that] 5 killed.”
The assessment indicates “attack likely within days” in the staging area of new Gboko, where there is “seized farmland, active terrorist control.”
Imminent violent attacks in Chikun, Kajuru, and Kachia axis of Southern Kaduna
Saul also cautioned about attacks in the epicentres of violent attacks in Southern Kaduna, including Chikun, Kajuru and Kachia axis, where there is “Mass terrorist movement since March 16” as well as “large motorcycle convoys advancing.”
The security alert drew attention to “heavy infiltration into forest zones and communities” in “high-risk areas – Rijana forest, Kamuku forest, and Birnin Gwari corridor.”
On the looming threats, the activist underscored that there are “coordinated raids and ambushes” as well as “surprise attacks from infiltrated fighters” with “possible execution of kidnapped hostages.”
Call for Immediate Action
Based on the assessment of the situation, from the indicators presented, the humanitarian aid worker called for immediate action in communities through maximum alert status, avoiding remote and isolated areas, reporting suspicious movements, and preparing for evacuation plans.
He urged the security forces to take Urgent operations in both regions by disrupting motorcycle movement and securing vulnerable communities.
By the same token, Saul, who warned that “both regions show clear signs of imminent terrorist attacks,” urged for “immediate action” to “save lives.”
